“It’s just another manic Monday.”
On Monday, June 20th, 2022, we were invited to attend the 2022 British Podcast Awards nominations event, powered by Audible. Being able to attend was a big deal for the both of us and something that we didn’t take for granted.
The event was held at the very cool City Summer House in Shoreditch, London on what was a balmy late Spring evening (the final day of Spring, as it turned out). Attended by industry executives and creators, there was a relaxed atmosphere within the venue as everyone anticipated the announcement of whether they had made the cut as one of the lucky ten nominees across the awards thirty categories.
Star Wars Sessions was in the running for Best Arts & Culture Podcast and Best Entertainment Podcast. Whilst we didn’t make the final ten in either category, we were honoured to have been considered and to have been invited to the event also.
All was not lost as we managed to find time for visits to Bleecker, Naan Wrap, Leon, Merchant & Weaver, and Tap Room, so we’d call that a successful trip.
